Hollaback. Cause Im back.
The trip to Thailand was a great one. At least quality time was spent with the whole family. We went to Pattaya for the first 2 days of the trip. The city is located on the south of Bangkok and is a haunt for tourists, due to its beaches. Even though it wasn't the best beach I saw though. Searching for halal food was a torture and had to rely on guides and maps in order to find the place. Overall, Pattaya was quite fun.
We went to Bangkok on Friday morning. The capital was surrounded by soldiers and para-military personnel at every governmental building. Even though the junta is currently holding up the government, it didn't really affected the tourism there. Shopped and shopped till I literally dropped, at Chacuchak Market.
A pleasant trip indeed. And the contrast of cultures between Thailand and Singapore is stark. Thais are very friendly people and they love to smile. They are also willing to help others. And they also have beautiful ladies there. My God. Yet, the subtleness and their devotion to religion and culture is very much there despite modernisation. Singapore society is so different. Affluence makes people proud.
